Built from lived experience, direct-support work, and a long commitment to the I/DD community.
Why this work is personal
StrideWell is deeply personal to me.
My brother, Tim, has autism, and growing up alongside him shaped the way I see support, advocacy, and what dependable care really means. Helping, protecting, and speaking up for the people you love became second nature early in my life.
Around the same time I began driving, my mom lost her vision. That experience strengthened a servant mindset in me and made everyday support feel practical and personal — not abstract. It reinforced the importance of patience, presence, and helping people move through daily life with dignity.
The work behind the mission
Later, I worked as a Direct Support Professional in college and early adulthood. That gave me firsthand experience with how much the right support can matter — not only for the individual, but for the whole family.
For the last 15 years, I have also coached Special Olympics. That has kept me connected to this community in a meaningful, long-term way and has continued to remind me how much people thrive when they are supported with consistency, respect, and genuine belief in their abilities.
Why I started StrideWell
I started StrideWell because I saw a real need in my community and wanted to be part of the solution.
As a former DSP and as a family member of someone who relies on I/DD services, I know families are not just looking for coverage. They are looking for support they can trust. They need communication that is clear. They need people who follow through. They need services that feel steady instead of chaotic.
StrideWell is my effort to build that kind of agency from the ground up — one that feels human, dependable, and organized from the very beginning.
What families can expect from StrideWell
Respect for the individual — Support should protect dignity, honor preferences, and make room for growth.
Communication that feels clear and timely — Families and referral partners should not have to chase basic answers.
Dependable, organized follow-through — Good support should feel steady, not confusing.
What guides us
Integrity — honest communication, clear documentation, and doing what we said we would do.
Compassion — support that is patient, respectful, and genuinely human.
Stewardship — thoughtful use of time, trust, and resources.
Accountability — early communication, follow-through, and ownership when something needs attention.
Servant Leadership — putting the individual’s needs, dignity, and long-term success at the center.
I’m a husband and a dad, and family is at the center of how I think about this work. My goal with StrideWell is simple: to build an agency that people can feel good about trusting with something that matters deeply.
